What Coffees do I get? How are they selected?
Our Master Roaster carefully selects each coffee to ensure that
you get the best the world has to offer. You receive your coffees
in a specially created sequence to build upon your taste profile
and experience. Please see the Coffee
Selection page for full
details on how our coffees are chosen.
If I like a particular coffee, can I reorder it?
Absolutely! With all the variety you will receive from Coffee
Days, you are sure to find a coffee that you truly love. To
reorder more of that coffee, just order it through the Member
Services page.
How much coffee do I get?
A Single membership includes 400g of coffee each month, which
is enough for 40 cups – or one cup every day plus extras
for weekends, guests and those days when you just need more
than one cup!
A Double membership includes 800g of coffee each
month, which is enough for 80 cups. Ideal for a coffee-loving
couple (one
cup every day each, plus extras for weekends and guests) or enough
for one person at home and work.
Business memberships are also available for small offices.
How is the coffee packaged?
The coffee is packaged in resealable foil and plastic bags. They
are heat sealed immediately after packing to keep the coffee
fresh,
and one-way valves allow the carbon dioxide produced by recently
roasted beans to be expelled whilst keeping air out. The bags
are then delivered in strong satchels or boxes.
Beans are packed either whole or ground depending on the preference
you specify when joining.
How is the coffee delivered?
Australia Post is used to deliver your coffee to your home or
office. Australia Post guarantees delivery within 1-3 days
depending on where you live (1 day for Sydney, up to 3 days
for distant interstate capitals). Australia Post will deliver
the coffee to your home letterbox if you specify a residential
address. If the coffee does not fit in your letterbox, Australia
Post will follow the Delivery Instructions we print on the
address label. So please be sure to give us your delivery instructions
when you join – if you don’t, then you may have
to pick up your coffee from the post office.
Is the coffee fresh?
You bet! We ship all coffee within 48 hours of roasting, normally
within 24 hours. The coffee is packed in heat sealed bags with
one-way valves, which allow the carbon dioxide produced by
recently roasted beans to be expelled whilst keeping air out.
To help you keep the coffee fresh once you receive it, the
bags are resealable. Whole bean coffee that is well stored
should continue to taste great for up to four weeks, ground
coffee slightly shorter.
How does the Guarantee work?
We are so confident that you will love your Coffee Days experience
that we provide a 100% money back guarantee. If any shipment
of Coffee Days coffee does not live up to your expectations,
just call us and we will refund your money on that month’s
coffee. We will also investigate why you were disappointed to
ensure that it doesn’t happen again.
You are under no obligation whatsoever to
continue your Coffee Days membership – you can cancel
at any time by phone, email or via the Member
Services page.
How much does it cost?
Please see Types
of memberships section or the Application
Form for prices.
Is the price fully inclusive? Are there any other charges?
Coffee Days memberships are fully inclusive. There are no additional
postage, packaging or GST charges – no additional charges
whatsoever. Your monthly membership includes the coffee,
tasting notes, packaging and delivery.
How do I pay?
The most convenient way to pay is by monthly direct debit to
your credit card. Just provide your credit card details when
you join and we will charge your card each month at the same
time your coffee is sent.
Alternatively, you can prepay any number of months
worth of membership by either credit card or cheque. If paying
by credit
card, simply mark the prepayment box on the application form
and specify the number of months for which you are prepaying.
Alternatively, you can send a cheque with your application form
via mail, to the address shown on the form.
Can I cancel or suspend my membership?
Yes. If you want to stop your membership temporarily, for example
because you are going away, just contact us by phone, email
or via the Member Services page and let us know how long you
want your membership suspended for. When your membership is
reactivated,
you will pick up the sequence of coffees from where you left
off.
You can also cancel your membership at any time by phone, email
or via the Member
Services page.
Please note that you must contact us at least
one week before your next coffee is being sent in order for your
suspension or
cancellation to take immediate effect. If you contact us within
a week of the next shipment then your suspension or cancellation
will be effective from the following shipment.
Do I receive decaffeinated or flavoured coffees?
No. In order to provide a wide variety of coffees, we cannot
include decaffeinated in the Coffee Days selection. Some beans
in the selection are naturally lower in caffeine but all do contain
caffeine.
In order to protect the purity of coffees,
we do not flavour the beans. We know that many people like
flavoured coffees (vanilla,
hazelnut, Irish Cream etc) but Coffee Days is about coffee and
we therefore do not include flavoured coffees in the selection.
You are always free, of course, to add syrups to your coffee
after brewing… and let’s face it, they can be a fun
way of complementing a coffee on occasion.
How should I store the coffee?
Coffee should be stored in an airtight container in a cool dark
place to maximise freshness. The coffee bag in which your Coffee
Days coffee is packed is air tight and can be used for storage.
Please see our Expert
Tips page for further details.
How should I brew the coffee?
Please see our Expert
Tips page for expert advice on how
to get the most from your coffee using each of the most popular
brewing techniques.
Do I receive a tax invoice for GST purposes?
Coffee is GST Free and the ATO has confirmed that no GST is payable
for purchases from Coffee Days. Tax Invoices are provided for
business memberships and will show a GST rate of 0%. Tax invoices
are not provided for Single and Double memberships.
